These links may help you familiarize yourself with Wiktionary:
- Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
- Check out Language considerations to find out more about how to edit for a particular language.
- Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
- If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
- If you have any questions, bring them to Wiktionary:Information desk or ask me on my talk page.
- Whenever commenting on any discussion page, please sign your posts with four tildes (

You can't just create a declension template by invoking a non-existent module, and writing a module takes more expertise than I have. If there isn't a working module at Module:syl-noun in a day or two, I'm going to delete Template:syl-ndecl. You can re-create it when/if you have a working module. Headword templates
[edit]{{en-proper noun}} can only be used in English entries (that's why it has "en", the language code for English, in front of the name). You can find headword templates for other languages using Category:Headword-line templates by language, though not all languages have them. If there's no language-specific template, you can use {{head}}, with the correct language code and part of speech as the first two parameters (for Venda, that would be {{head|ve|proper noun}}).
Afrikaans, Swedish and Venda are an odd grouping of languages: I hope you know the languages in question and aren't just getting the terms from the Wikipedias for those languages. For one thing, Wikipedias can't have an article on a subject without a name for the subject in the Wikipedia's language, so Wikipedia editors are known to guess or even make up names. I've seen lots of these terms deleted here because they aren't used in the language itself outside of Wikimedia projects. Also, each language has its own requirements about what information is needed for the headword, and if you don't know the language, you won't necessarly get that right.
