See also Template:cs-conj.

I have expanded this template fully, and now all verb forms are included, including the archaic trangressive. I stole the table from de:Vorlage:Tschechisch Verb Flexion 3 2 Imp, and corrected and translated parts, as much as possible. --Ro-manB 18:14, 9 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps the template could use some improvement in terms of layout. (But is it really true that all verbs possess a passive participle? I don't think so.) -- Gauss 18:22, 9 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Overhaul

[edit]

This was the only Czech verb template that remained in the "old" style. I have converted it to the new style using {{cs-conj-forms}} using a great deal of care, but I would be very grateful if someone could check over my work. In particular: (a) I removed the past transgressive forms, as it seemed to me that these are not used with these verbs (but I could well be wrong), and (b) I am not sure if a passive adjective should be listed - the old template didn't have space for it, but at (e.g.) dávat this form was added when the conjugation template was converted some years ago. (Notifying Solvyn, Vininn126, Atitarev, Benwing2, Hergilei, Zhnka, Jan.Kamenicek): Thanks very much, This, that and the other (talk) 13:17, 26 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Ad a) Past transgressives exist with quite a lot of verbs of this kind, such as vybojovat (vybojovav, vybojovavši, vybojovavše), see https://prirucka.ujc.cas.cz/?slovo=vybojovat .
Ad b) Yes, passive participles are common so they should be listed. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 13:32, 26 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I actually have a partly-written new module for Czech verbs that I started a year or two ago but never finished, at Module:User:Benwing2/cs-verb. If you preview User:Benwing2/test-cs-conj with the next-to-last commit (the one directly before the one with the comment "latest work (breaks everything ...)"), you can see the module in action. But having fewer distinct old style templates in use will definitely help when converting the verbs to the new format. Benwing2 (talk) 21:47, 26 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Jan.Kamenicek thanks for your response. I have re-added the past transgressives and added a passive adjective, which I hope is correct. This, that and the other (talk) 23:47, 26 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
