Please use this template inside the Etymology section

[edit]

@Antonklroberts @Shuraya

Shlama friends - please use this template inside the Etymology section of pages, otherwise the wiktionary data dump https://dumps.wikimedia.org/enwiktionary/ cannot capture the root of words.

This is especially important for verbs (nouns and what not aren't as important.)

Okay no problem! But we were told before to include it under the top header unless a page had words of 2 different roots? Shuraya (talk) 21:19, 2 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks so much. Ah I didn't realize that's what you were told.
I think we should just include it in the etymology section and if there's different etymologies then we include it in each of those etymology sections (regardless of whether the underlying root is the same for different etymologies) ColumbaBush (talk) 22:06, 2 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Visual tweaks

[edit]

(Notifying ColumbaBush, ܐܢܐ, Antonklroberts, Shuraya): I've changed the colour palette to red to match the other templates, and also improved mobile support. — Fenakhay (حيطي · مساهماتي) 12:09, 30 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

thank you for doing this
one nitpicky thought, maybe we should get rid of the secondary color
per Template:inflection-table-top, the secondary color is used to mean secondary headings of sorts so its use in this template is inconsistent with with how our other tables use the secondary color
but mainly, i just think it'd look better w/o it ColumbaBush (talk) 16:57, 30 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Much appreciated! ܐܢܐ (talk) 05:59, 1 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
