Template:oui-decl

From Wiktionary, the free dictionary

This template declines nouns in ten grammatical cases with two grammatical numbers in the Uyghur script.

    • You can set the parameters |a and |u, as well as |C and |V, to decline nouns appropriately.
    • Use |a for nouns ending in 'a', 'e', 'é', 'ï', and 'i'. Use |u for nouns ending in 'o', 'ö', 'u', and 'ü'.
    • Use |C for nouns ending in a consonant, and |V for nouns ending in a vowel.
      • For example, 𐾀𐽺𐽷𐽾𐽶 (tnkry /teŋri/) uses {{oui-decl|a|V}}, since the final vowel is i and the noun ends in a vowel.
      • In contrast, 𐽶𐽳𐾁 (ywl /yol/) uses {{oui-decl|u|C}}, because its final (and only) vowel is o, and it ends in a consonant.
    • Do not use this template for terms written in different scripts.
