Usage

Use this template in the etymology section of a Korean word with an uncertain Chinese etymon. When the specific language is known (Mandarin, Cantonese, Min Nan, etc.) please use {{der|ko|lang}} or {{bor|ko|lang}} along with the relevant language code.

Parameters

If only one term is supplied

The Sinitic word to be linked to.
|2=
A gloss for |1=.

If multiple terms are supplied

|1=
The first component of the Sinitic word.
|2=
A gloss for |1=.
|3=, |4=
Another component of the Sinitic word, and its gloss.
|4=, |5=
Another component of the Sinitic word, and its gloss.
|genitive=
For compounds which undergo phonologically unconditioned obstruent tensing. Use {{ko-etym-sino|genitive=y}}.
  • If the components as a combined whole form an existing entry name, then that entry will be linked to.

Usage detailing multiple components:

Usage detailing multiple components, the sum of which does not form an existing entry name:
