grc-adj-2nd m or f; second declension

{{grc-adj-2nd}} and {{grc-adj-3rd}} generate headword lines for Ancient Greek adjectives whose forms are in the second or the third declension respectively. Module:grc-headword and Module:headword process the parameters and create the displayed text.

In these adjectives, there are two forms: the common (masculine and feminine) form and the neuter form. Both forms are in the same declension. For example, ἀληθής (alēthḗs) has a masculine and feminine form ᾰ̓ληθής (alēthḗs) and a neuter form ᾰ̓ληθές (alēthés); both are declined in the third declension. ἄδικος (ádikos) has a masculine and feminine form ᾰ̓́δῐκος (ádikos) and a neuter form ᾰ̓́δῐκον (ádikon), both of which belong to the second declension.

Parameters

Numbered parameters

The two possible numbered parameters are the headword and the neuter form. They must be Greek characters, or in the case of the neuter, a hyphen (-) indicating the form is unattested.

The headword is only allowed if the title contains vowels whose length is ambiguous – the monophthongs α, ι, υ (a, i, u) without macrons, breves, circumflexes, or iotas subscript (◌̄, ◌̆, ◌͂, ◌ͅ). The neuter is required.

Named parameters

|head=, |head2=, |head3=, ...
Headwords.
|n=, |n2=, |n3=, ...
Neuter forms.
|deg=comp, |deg=super
Degree of comparison. Only allowed in {{grc-adj-1&2}} and {{grc-adj-3rd}}, because no comparatives or superlatives belong to the first-and-third-declension class of adjectives. |deg=comp indicates that the adjective is a comparative) and |deg=super indicates it is a superlative. A category will be added, but the displayed text will not change.
