This template should be used just under the ‘Verb’ header for Egyptian verbs, specifying the verb root class (and thus the conjugation) and the hieroglyphic writing.
Basic usage is

compound
if the verb is compound. Can be omitted if unknown. The following codes can be used (different authors tend to merge some of these classes; see Appendix:Egyptian verbs for details):2-lit

- An alternative verb root class, mostly for cases where the attested forms of the verb don’t give enough information to choose between two different paradigms.

- An alternative hieroglyphic writing; preferably do not use this, but use an ‘Alternative forms’ subheader instead.
