      • I don't know, pal. I know language learners — not the super genius polyglots we have here ... ordinary people. Are you sure an ordinary learner wouldn't think it's "accept junk"? • Keep. It doesn't fall under meaning 14.1 (or any other meaning I saw). It wouldn't make sense to say "undergo/be subjected to a crap." In addition, the phrase doesn't work if we substitute the noun ("take an act of defecation," "take feces," etc.; "take a poop" is questionable; but compare "take a shit"). Lastly, because take has so many meanings, I'm inclined to let most of its set-phrasey collocations lie. (see also my vote to keep take responsibility). Imetsia (talk) 20:08, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

• Delete. Per Leasnam, this sense of "take" seems common, with numerous possibilities. If it is not presently adequately covered at take then it should be. I have argued before, I think, to keep certain technically SoP "take" combinations because of the number of different senses there, but this one seems just too generic.
