Middle French verb. Dubious, it seems I translated it from fr:rétraindre which is from the Littré (a dictionary) which says "a former spelling of restreindre". Shouldn't this be Modern French then? As acute accents weren't used like that before 1600. Mglovesfun (talk) 13:57, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Well I've added the Modern French, I can scrape three citations from Google Books for (deprecated template usage) retraindre in Middle French, but not with the acute accent. Mglovesfun (talk) 11:00, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

I don't know how to conjugate this in Middle French, so it's hard to look for the conjugated forms. It might pass, I have zero cites so far though as they are all Modern French. Mglovesfun (talk) 16:53, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
