other meanings?

My bilingual English-Chinese dictionary also lists the meaning of "to make something less boring" and "a small amount of a quality that makes an event less boring" as other definitions. Not sure if they are attestable though. ---> Tooironic 07:08, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

"leave"+"en" Pronunciation

Alternate/vulgar pronunciation? Normal is "Lev"+"en"; this incorrect pronunciation follows the sound of "leave". Sounds like leavin'. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 10:33, 9 August 2024 (UTC)

German. Tagged by IP for the following reason: "“esp. for past "left"”. In my opinion, the term leavte for the third-person singular past tense is more commonly used in gaming forums. Here are some examples:

• Nach mehreren Minuten des wartens sneakte er und leavte.[1]
• Deswegen leavte ich mein damaliges Team und spielte das Spiel ohne kompetitiven Gedanken und aus Spass und mit Freunden. [2]
• Denn ich habe normal meine Timewalking Dungeons gemacht und als der Endboss lag leavte niemand. [3]
• Als ich auf der alten Map von Badlands ging und nicht wusste was ich machen musste leavte ich den Server wieder. [4]

I've only ever heard and read German leavte, never *left (which sounds wrong to me). I've also added geleavt as a PP. — Fytcha〈 T | L | C 〉 10:24, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
