I was thinking about switching to Latin gamma and Latin delta in the transliteration of Sogdian, Parthian and others because mixing scripts is never a good thing, but then I found out that there is no Latin beta... --Vahag (talk) 20:32, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
- @Vahagn Petrosyan: There is now: Latin beta. —Mahāgaja · talk 10:28, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
- I am not sure we should switch β, γ, δ to Latin. The few transliterated texts in these languages that can be found on the Internet all use the Greek letters. Vahag (talk) 11:40, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
facfur
[edit]Does facfur merit an entry? (in Old French?) What was the native tongue of Marco Polo, Italian? or Venetian? --Z 09:12, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
- The The Travels of Marco Polo are written in Old French by his biographer. No Godefroy and I can't define it by pure guessing. I think the simple answer is 'yes' if anyone fancies digging up the citation, just I don't. Renard Migrant (talk) 13:50, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
