Rfv-sense: Carrie Lam. --沈澄心✉ 10:25, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- Even if it can be verified as a term having Carrie Lam as its referent, how can we be sure it is used as a nickname or such, and not as the SOP “the Lam disease”, a pun metonymically used as an insult? --Lambiam 12:34, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- 淋病 (lam4 beng6, “gonorrhea”) refers to 林鄭 / 林郑 (lam4 zeng6, “[Carrie] Lam Cheng [Yuet-ngor]”), and can also be found in the forms of 淋病月娥 (literally “Gonorrhea Yuet-ngor”) and 淋病毒娥 (literally “Gonorrhea Poison-ngor”); that seems like a pun to me. —Suzukaze-c (talk) 06:58, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- Slogan quoted in the Epoch Times web edition:
“我哋(们)怕淋病(意思下雨就要离开否则会淋湿生病,‘淋病’指‘林郑’以此讽刺林郑月娥)”
- Baker writes "淋病月娥" on a pie, Apple Daily
- It wouldn't surprise me if there is more out there, but Google's detection of the comment sections in news articles is a hindrance. —Suzukaze-c (talk) 06:58, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- Do these not equally qualify for CFI purposes? — This unsigned comment was added by Lambiam (talk • contribs) at 22:14, 1 April 2021 (UTC).
- @Lambiam Not sure about 淋病月娥 on a pie as qualifying as a good cite since it's not really durably archived (and we don't know if the article is durably archived), nor does it have 淋病 without 月娥. We also don't know if the Epoch Times article is durably archived either. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 19:42, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
- Added two cites. We just need one more cite. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 21:32, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
- Added one more cite, so it's cited. It's from a report (Public Engagement of the Task Force on Land Supply Final PE Report), which should be durably archived. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 21:11, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- RFV passed. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 18:34, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
