儂 or 人?
[edit]人 appears to be the Mandarin character, however, as we're talking about w:Min Dong/w:Min Nan, 儂 appears to be the original character. 人 seems to be the MOE character, for which many people disagree with. Programmeruser (talk) 22:23, 13 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Programmeruser: We use 人 for the main entries because it's much more commonly attested and recommended by Taiwan's MoE. 儂 is usually suggested as the etymological character (see the etymology at 儂), and we use 儂 in our dialectal tables to highlight the difference between 儂 and 人. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 22:33, 13 August 2021 (UTC)
