Format -- shouldn't this be the lemma page?
[edit]Per other related discussions, the emerging consensus is that wago terms should use the kana pages for the lemmata entries. However, as of today (2018-09-11), this page is mostly a redirect to the kanji pages. This is suboptimal, not least as the mi readings for both 身 and 実 are cognates with significant sense overlap, the mi honorific is cognate with 霊, 神 (mi, “god, deity, sacred spirit”), and many of these have more than one kanji rendering (such as prefix mi appearing also as 美 and even 深).
Would anyone oppose turning things around and having the kanji entries point here instead? ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 21:35, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Eirikr: I created them as placeholders. Of course it would be the most logical if wago terms are lemmatized here. I'm also thinking about having a template like this:
===Etymology x=== {{ja-forms|御|美|深}} ====Prefix==== {{ja-pos|prefix}} # ...
- The template can be used for listing kanji spellings of a wago as well as anchoring, so (1) み#ja-御 links to the relevant section directly in a list of homographs and (2)
{{ja-see}}
can fetch glosses and copy categories from only relevant sections of the lemma page. --Dine2016 (talk) 01:01, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
