We really should do something about words not attested in GED. Because it always means a word does not exist and almost always means has never existed as such.

I have been thinking of tagging them in order to make it easier to locate those problematic terms later and, hopefully, deal with them. Maybe a special (hidden) category? like [[Category:terms not attested in Georgian Explanatory Dictionary]] :?

A special category is not needed. They have been culled from reliable if rare sources. Just ask me for the source. This one is from the 10th century Georgian translation of Hippolytus of Rome. The translation was made from Armenian and naturally contains many Armenisms. The text was published by Nikolay Marr in Ипполит. Толкование Песни песней. Грузинский текст по рукописи X в., пер. с арм. Н. Марра. (Серия «Тексты и разыскания по армяно-грузинской филологии». Кн. 3). СПб., 1901. Find this book in your library and look at page 65. The word is definitely attested yep. Nothing problematic, but few things. First of all, page needs to be moved to (შე)კიცვაჲ; secondly the definition should have verbal noun of, and there arises the main problem: I don't know the main form of the verb (i.e. either future or present 3rd person singular)... so could you @Vahagn Petrosyan send me the verb form used in the book if you have it? I can't find it online, nor I know which book of Hippolytus it is to check. I can't find the verb form anywhere else and I think Abuladze forgot to mention the verb lol. FINALLY!! FOUND IT. Ok that book didn't help me at all I couldn't see what was the beginning and what the end. But I went through Hippolytus' texts on gnc.gov.ge and found the one: თარგმანება ქება ქებათა 20:2. "და ესე იყო სასწაულ, რამეთუ რიცხუსა მას იტყჳს, ვითარმედ: სამასნი მელნი შეკიცუნა ურთიერთას-ო..." "And this was a miracle, for in Numbers he says, that: He tied up together/intertwined 300 foxes with each other...". Now I gotta figure out why it's "შე-კიც-უ-ნ-ა" Like I know every part but the -უ- there, once I'm done with that I'll edit the page as necessary. -Solarkoid (talk) 21:34, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
