Arabic
[edit]@Fay Freak, this is said to be from Arabic غَائِب (ḡāʔib) or غَيْب (ḡayb). Can the ending -ana be explained within Arabic? One source quotes Arabic ḡāʔibāne. Vahag (talk) 09:38, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Vahagn Petrosyan: No. This looks like a Persian or Ottoman adverb, as in خالصانه (halisane). And it is exists in Persian and is listed by dictionaries, غایبانه, غائبانه (ğaʼeb-âne), and Özbek and eo ipso Chagatay or whatever, Classical Ottoman Ebussuud Efendi, you find everything. - It is indeed the adverb, thanks. Vahag (talk) 12:32, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
