Sanskrit. Supposed passive verb for ब्रू (brū), but isn't mentioned anywhere, might be a misinterpretation of 'brūyāsta' (which is either a precative/benedictive, or itself a misreading). Exarchus (talk) 16:16, 14 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I'll remove the rfd, but I do think this only occurs in 'modern'/'new' Sanskrit. The classical way of saying would be उच्यते (ucyate) (I'll make a page for that btw), for which there are thousans of attestations.

@Exarchus: for future reference, if you don't think it exists, you should use WT:RFVN. Only reconstructions use WT:RFDR because theyre inherently not attested (and other namespaces use WT:RFDO, because they're not covered by WT:CFI). Chuck Entz (talk) 15:04, 23 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
