Etymology

@Babr What you have proposed appears to be correct, and I cannot find any attestation of ارتشدار/ارتشتار in any Classical Persian texts. The form ارتیشدار is the main form in dictionaries, and Dehkhoda's dictionary provides a quote from the Zaratosht-nama attesting to its usage. Additionally, per The Great Islamic Encyclopaedia, another variant of it present in Classical Persian was نیساری, which is attested in the Shahnama. Samiollah1357 (talk) 20:56, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
