@Wikitiki89: I expected to find the existence of a кучма (kučma), but I couldn't find it. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 05:56, 29 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

w:uk:Кучма (шапка). The word probably exists in Russian too, but it would be better to say it's Ukrainian. --WikiTiki89 12:25, 29 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Vahagn Petrosyan: Could the Ukrainian word itself come from Crimean Tatar or something like that? --WikiTiki89 15:59, 29 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
The word is attested in almost all Slavic languages and in a couple of neighbouring ones (Hungarian, Romanian). A native Slavic, as well as Hungarian and Turkic origins have been proposed. See {{R:bg:BER}}, vol. III, page 172, for the discussion of all the proposals. --Vahag (talk) 08:30, 30 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
