@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89 I wrote the transcription as Boɣ instead of Box because I assume the г is pronounced voiced followed by another vowel. Is this correct? Benwing2 (talk) 10:14, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

Some old-fashioned people do say [ˈboɣə] (and some people even say [ˈbok] for the nom.). So even though it would be more accurate, I think it would be very confusing to use ɣ in the transliteration, since many readers would not be familiar with this symbol. --WikiTiki89 14:24, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Final voiced consonants are devoiced:

In consonant clusters (initial or between vowels), the final consonant determines whether the entire cluster will be voiced or devoiced:

вокзал [vagzál]

футбол [fudból]

вас зовут [vaz zavút]

субтитры [suptítry]

водка [vótkə]

ложка [loškə]

Exceptions:

The consonants в, л, м, н, and р do not affect voicing of previous consonants.
