Thank you @Bibliosporias very much for your addition. Indeed, the spelling κυττ- was very common in the previous century. Current dictionaries (published in 1998) by Triantafyllidis Institute and Babiniotis, but also the 1960s Dimitrakos are giving lemma: κοιτ-. Also {{R:Kriaras Medieval}}.

{{R:Babiniotis 2002}} describes κυττ- as older spelling and {{R:Dimitrakos 1964}} as wrong spelling. It had to do with etymology, which nowadays seems to consider κοιτ- as the accepted root. (I have no opinion, because I am not an etymologist). sarri.greek (talk) 15:53, 6 September 2019 (UTC)
