Why is this reconstructed with a long vowel?

While Tekin notes the vowel as long, the Turkmen verb actually has a short vowel (“ýalamak” in Enedilim.com), to me it seems like he got faulty data. None of the derivatives nor its possible source also have long vowels.

Should this be moved to *yalga-? Yorınçga573 (talk) 16:05, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
