@Vahagn_Petrosyan: Thanks for catching it. I already had that scan myself, but I assumed that I verified that the reference is correct so I didn't recheck it again.

There are a lot of issues like that, especially in Fähnrich-Sarǯvelaʒe (for example, almost all of Janashvili 1906 references are of the wrong book and should instead refer to Janashvili 1902), but I didn't keep track of it. კვარია (talk) 18:03, 18 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Klimov 1998 is especially sloppy with references. Probably due to the posthumuous editors, not himself. Vahag (talk) 18:07, 18 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Klimov:1964 credits Svan to Wardrop:1911, I'm guessing that editors of Klimov:1998 copypasted the incorrect reference from Fähnrich-Sarǯvelaʒe. კვარია (talk) 18:10, 18 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Whoever was trying to replace Wardrop 1911 with Nizharadze 1910 had his heart in the right place. Wardrop had simply copied Nizharadze.
The first reference to Gren 1890: 131 that I found is in Fähnrich-Sarǯvelaʒe 1990 [1st ed.], so we will indeed blame this couple for the mistake. Researching ghost words and mistakes is even more fascinating than doing real etymology :D Vahag (talk) 18:49, 18 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
