That said, the Hawaiian derives from older Proto-Polynesian *tapa, and I'm not aware of any similar pattern of /k/ ↔ /t/ alternation in Japonic. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 22:03, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
