Reconstruction

[edit]

@Victar: Hi. Compare with Proto-Northeast Caucasian *weršē. In Proto-Nakh, it is reconstructed as follows *borš (bull-calf). In Proto-Lezghian, the semantics are: man, husband. Should we add this reconstruction? Gnosandes (talk) 23:17, 1 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Gnosandes: What's your source? Also, why are you reconstructing Proto-Avaro-Andian with no descendants? --{{victar|talk}} 19:15, 30 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Victar: We have only one reconstruction. Where did I reconstruct without descendants? Gnosandes (talk) 22:15, 30 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Gnosandes: I'll clarify my questions. What is the source for PNC being a borrowing, and particularly from PII, and the reconstruction itself? Why did you reconstruct Proto-Avaro-Andian with no descendants listed in the Descendants tree? --{{victar|talk}} 23:20, 30 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
I see it was {{R:cau:NCED|*wĕršē}} and I've added the needed source. --{{victar|talk}} 01:08, 31 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

*h₂wers-

[edit]

do we mean Reconstruction:Proto-Indo-European/h₁wers-? if the reconstructions dont line up, this is a problem, because i doubt we could have two such roots in PIE. Soap 09:33, 31 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Soap: Yes, if you see RC:Proto-Indo-European/h₁wers-, *h₂wers- is an alternative reconstruction. --{{victar|talk}} 01:50, 1 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
