According Acharyan, Armenian չանչ (čʻančʻ), չեչ (čʻečʻ) are borrowed from this. I will check and add the meanings later. He also mentions Laz ჩონჩა (çonça). --Vahag (talk) 13:29, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- I don't know how to solve the vocalism, also seemingly unrelated words have identical word structure. If *čVčw- is incorrect, then I honestly have no idea what on earth happened to the Mingrelian word. Contaminations and/or sound symbolisms to the rescue...? I don't know, this is a spectacular mess. - It is a mess, and I don't know how to help you :) I can only say that in the Hamshen dialect of Armenian an > on is regular if you want to try Armenian mediation for Laz.
- I found Georgian ჩონჩო (čončo) in
{{R:ka:Shanidze:1984|page=442a}}
which you may want to add to the comparison. Vahag (talk) 18:56, 9 April 2022 (UTC)- ჩონჩო (čončo) is Tushetian? So it's Western enough to get into Laz but also Eastern enough to exist in Tusheti? Then Georgian also has ა (a) and ე (e) vocalism. This just messes up everything. I officially don't know WTF happened to Mingrelian word then. I'm about to go full Starostin and reconstruct *CV(n)C(w)- :D
- PS: What's the standard in Wiktionary when creating templates to websites that are compilations of various dictionaries? I can't just list every single book name in it, since it'd be too longკვარია (talk) 19:12, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- You just use the website name, as in
{{R:OneLook}}
or{{R:az:Obastan}}
. By the way, what source are you using for Cheneburi dialects? Vahag (talk) 19:51, 9 April 2022 (UTC)- @Vahagn_Petrosyan: Well I need more code examples because this is non-trivial and gosh the syntax that's being used for templates is so esoteric. I figured out the URLs for specific dictionary compilations, haven't figured out if it's possible to inject word-names into search yet.

- Mixing all the dialects into one template will be too complicated. You can create a separate template for each variety based on
{{R:ka:QDK:Chveneburi}}
. I gave the date as 2006–, because that is when their project started according to the description on the website. Vahag (talk) 21:45, 9 April 2022 (UTC)- The title isn't true though. Those are compilations of literally tens of books კვარია (talk) 21:51, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- That's the title they use. ქდკ - ჩვენებურების ქართული ლექსიკონი, then the specific source below it. Vahag (talk) 21:54, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
