[edit]Possibly related to Proto-Mongolic *ebčexün (“chest”), whence Mongolian өвчүү (övčüü), or Proto-Mongolic *emüne (“front, south, anterior”) possibly as a result of secondary nasalization of *b, paralleling the pair *gadar and *gadana.
