[edit]From Proto-Uralic *-ńće-, *-nśe-. Apparently related to *-ic(c)ë-, *-istak and the Northern Finnic conditional marker *-ici-.

[edit]A variant of *-t'ak (translative verb suffix) and *-t'ak (causative verb suffix). The initial *-i- is probably from the frequentative ending *-j (see *-idak).
