new template

@ܐܢܐ @Antonklroberts @Shuraya - i just made a wrapper template for this module so it's easier to conjugate verbs

instead of figuring out what conjugation template and arguments to use, ex.

{{aii-conj-verb/G-2i|ܥ|ܩ}}

you can just pass in the verb

{{aii-conj|ܥܵܐܹܩ}}

Okay this is a wonderful idea, we also need to do this for the nouns too as there are too many templates with all these different variations and we still need to standardise them Antonklroberts (talk) 02:24, 7 October 2024 (UTC)

shlama anton - this module is still relying on the verb templates under the hood, it just figures out which template to use and what atwateh to provide to that template based on the verb

agreed, it would be nice to refactor the noun inflection templates and possibly create a module to similarly simplify things if it's possible (nouns are tricky) ColumbaBush (talk) 18:18, 7 October 2024 (UTC)

Hi @Fenakhay

The purpose of this logic was to prevent people from directly invoking templates like Template:aii-conj-verb/C-1o3i and instead enforce the use of Template:aii-conj-verb however I'm not sure if this can be achieved with your recent edit since that check needs to be done within the template we want to disallow direct inclusion of.

In late October, I was planning on restoring Module:aii-conj-check and rolling back the change you reverted here https://en.wiktionary.org/w/index.php?title=Template%3Aaii-conj-verb%2FC-1o3i&diff=82350473&oldid=82302311 (and applying the restriction to the other verb conjugation templates.)
