[edit]Probably from bynames/nicknames, from dialectal huikka (compare huikea, hoikka) meaning "lanky, slim", huikata (“yell out, call out”) (onomatopoeic) and huikata (“to swindle, con”) (akin to huijata). Compare also Huikari, Huikuri.[1]
