Usage notes
[edit]- Traditionally refers especially to a drink taken on Sundays between church and midday dinner. This has now become rare in most places, but Frühschoppen may still be held in private groups or as part of festivities. In Bavaria and Austria it is often combined with Weißwurstfrühstück (breakfast of weisswurst and pretzel).
