Category:Arabic form-V reduced verbs

From Wiktionary, the free dictionary

Arabic form-V verbs where the prefix assumes a modified form and partly assimilates to the initial root consonant. These verbs have the form اِفَّعَّلَ (iffaʕʕala) instead of normal تَفَعَّلَ (tafaʕʕala), e.g. اِصَّدَّقَ (iṣṣaddaqa, to give alms), the reduced variant of تَصَدَّقَ (taṣaddaqa). The first radical is always coronal, and the prefix assimilates completely to it. These are normally found only in the Koran.
