- sushi - the rice with raw-fish-on, mostly shaped by hands, or rolled with seaweed.
- teppanyaki - a Japanese style of hotplate cooking
- tempura - a Japanese fritter
- sukiyaki - a Japanese dish of thinly-sliced beef and tofu with dashi, mirin and soy sauce cooked quickly at the table.
- yakitori - a Japanese shishkabob
- udon - Japanese wheat noodles.
- soba - Japanese buckwheat noodles.
- sōmen - Japanese vermicelli.
- wasabi - green mustard (used in sushi)
