[edit]Introduced in 1932. The candy originally had three pieces in one package, flavored chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla; thus, it was named after the 1844 historical adventure novel The Three Musketeers, originally published as French Les Trois Mousquetaires, by Alexandre Dumas.
