Albanian
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Proto-Albanian *w(ī)džatī, from Proto-Indo-European *wídḱm̥ti (“twenty”).[1][2] The initial z-, corresponding to the *-ḱ-, in place of **dh- is explained by the adjacency with the original *w.[n 1]
