Compare Sanskrit मृष् (mṛṣ, “to forget”), Lithuanian miršti (“to forget, lose, become oblivious”), Latvian aizmirst (“to forget”), Gothic 𐌼𐌰𐍂𐌶𐌾𐌰𐌽 (marzjan, “to annoy, bother, disturb, offend”), Tocharian A märs- (“to forget”), Old Armenian մոռանամ (moṙanam), English mar.
