Usage notes
[edit]Because the semantic development of โdareโ to โfinishโ is difficult to explain, some editors have emended the attested form ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฝ๐ฐ๐ฝ๐ธ๐น๐ณ๐ฐ (gananรพida) to ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฝ๐ณ๐น๐ณ๐ฐ (gaandida), an otherwise unattested verb that would be descended from Proto-Germanic *andijลnฤ (โto end, finishโ).
