Etymology

First attested in the Worin seokbo (月印釋譜 / 월인석보), 1459, as Middle Korean 어젯〮밤〮 (Yale: ècéy-s-pám). Equivalent to 어제 (eoje, yesterday) +‎ (-s-, genitive interfix) +‎ (bam, night).
