Etymology
[edit]From Manchu ᠰᡠᡳᡶᡠᠨ (suifun, “awl”) + 河 (hé, “river”), used since the Qing dynasty. Earlier names include 蘇濱水/苏滨水 attested in the History of Jin [1344].
