Etymology
[edit]Named after 毛公, collective appellation for 毛亨 and his nephew 毛萇 (c. 3rd century BCE), traditionally attributed founders of their school of scholarship. Largely intact, it is the only surviving edition of the Classic of Poetry, which also includes the commentaries in the Mao tradition.
