  ところが野(の)崎(ざき)はそのことを機(き)縁(えん)として大(おお)阪(さか)からの通(つう)学(がく)を止(や)めて、赤(あか)井(い)と同(おな)じ下(げ)宿(しゅく)に移(うつ)った。
  Tokoro ga Nozaki wa sono koto o kien to shite Ōsaka kara no tsūgaku o yamete, Akai to onaji geshuku ni utsutta.
  However, because of this, Nozaki stopped commuting from Osaka and moved to the same lodgings as Akai.
