Etymology
[edit]/hidarikiki/: [pidarikiki] → [ɸidarikiki] → [çidarikiki]. Compound of 左 (hidari, “left”) + 利き (kiki, “effective”). The kiki changes to giki as an instance of rendaku (連濁).
