[edit]- In Mandarin, this word has largely been overtaken by its modern counterpart 名片 (míngpiàn).
- In Taiwanese Hokkien, this word is as frequently used as 名片 (míngpiàn). Besides, mè-sì, phonologically borrowed from Japanese 名刺 (meishi), is regarded as one of standardized forms.[1][2]
- In Xiamen Hokkien, this word is dated, synonymous to 門帖/门帖.
