Etymology
[edit]Compound of 思う (omou, “to think”) + ら (ra), 未然形 (mizenkei) of classical stative auxiliary り (ri) + classical nominalizing suffix く (ku). The kanji are jukujikun (熟字訓), from Middle Chinese 以為 (jɨX ɦˠiuᴇ).
