- A blackish-brown pill used in traditional Chinese medicine to "replenish yin of the liver and the kidney and arrest bleeding, when there is
deficiency of yin of the liver and the kidney marked by dizziness, tinnitus, dryness of the throat and nose, aching of the loins and knees, and excessive menstrual discharge".
