2. (NAPA) advanced articulation:

   (on an alveolar letter) dental, e.g. ⟨t̯ d̯ s̯ z̯ n̯⟩,

   (on an velar letter) palatal, e.g. ⟨k̯ x̯⟩.

   (other usings) ⟨d̶̯a, d̶̯à, d̶̯e, d̶̯è⟩.

• (UPA): Commonly used on superscript letters to indicate a very brief on- or off-glide, e.g. ᵘ̯̈ö.
