  1. A diacritical mark of the Greek script, called ψιλή (psilḗ, smooth) in Ancient Greek, and found on ()/ (), ()/ (), ()/ (), ()/ (), ()/ (), Υ̓/ () and ()/ (). It is also known by its Latin name spīritus lēnis or the English name smooth breathing. It is used to indicate a word-initial vowel.
