ἔρφος
Appearance
Ancient Greek
[edit]Etymology
[edit]It rhymes with better known στέρφος (stérphos, “hide, skin”), but further unclear. Güntert suggests that this word is a younger reshaping from ἐρέφω (eréphō, “to cover with a roof”).
