[edit]From Proto-Georgian-Zan *c̣₁irṗl-.[1][2] Cognate with Georgian წირპლი (c̣irṗli). Middle Armenian ճիպռ (čipṙ), ճպուռ (čpuṙ), is a Zan borrowing.
