ღამფო (ğampo) (Latin spelling ğampo)

  1. (Atina, Vitse) The coloured liquid left when the bark covering the trunk of trees such as walnut, chestnut, alder, etc. is peeled off or when the stumps are placed in water
  2. (Vitse, Borghola, Vizha) green shell of walnut
    Synonyms: კოპერი (ǩop̌eri), ღლეპა (ğlep̌a)
    ნაჯიქ, ნა-ნჩხალუ ნეძი მჟორაზ ნუფინამს. ღამფო ხომაში კაკალუმს.
    nacik, na-nçxalu neżi mjoraz nupinams. ğampo xomaşi ǩaǩalums.
    Naci pours the walnut and leaves it in the sun. When the green shell is dry, he removes it.
  3. (Borghola) green algae formed on stagnant water surfaces
    Synonyms: ჲოსუნი (yosuni, general name for algae), ღლეპი (ğlep̌i, algae growing on stones at the bottom of running water)

    The scab has scabbed over (put on scab). It will heal.
  5. (Chkhala) hard to clean stain on metal objects such as pots and pans caused by the effect of fire
  6. (Vitse) the white fleshy and inedible, mouth-puckering part of persimmon
    Synonym: ღალამფა (ğalampa)
